2011 Christmas Gift Guide

It's Dec 23rd and I've yet to purchase any Christmas gifts. There's only one reason why I've pushed this task out, and that reason is the convenience of:

I've carefully studied their fine selection of products on my trips this month. Here are my top 5 recommendations that will make this holiday memorable for you, and your loved ones.

The Mustache Mirror
Because taking a dry-erase marker to your current mirror is so last year.

Lake Girl Hoody
The ultimate generic hoody.

Wristband iPhone Holder
The "hands-free" iPhone holder that only requires your hand!
Text while you steer!

Learn To Play Piano Anywhere!
When an iPad and piano app isn't enough...

Box of Applause
Give yourself a hand for the wonderful job you've done!

Museum Mania!

The hotel was conveniently located one-block away from the East Side Galley

Here were a few of my favorites:

The backside of the wall.

Props to the maritime graffiti artist.

Next was the Jewish Museum. I found Libeskind's design to be extremely disorienting when inside and I did not spend much time there.

Looking up the long flight of stairs to get to the first exhibit.

Next on the list was Museumsinsel. Another site where German schoolchildren will stare/wave at you if you're Asian. Either that, or they thought they knew me.

^Altes Museum

So I only had time for one museum here, and I chose Pikachu the Pergamon Museum.

The last museum on the agenda was the Hamburger Bahnhof.

The last night was spent at the Philharmonie, where I caught the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra's show. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed inside, so here's a view from the mind of Martin Liebscher. As for the wonderful performance, the night included:

Schubert's Overture in D major, D.590
Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, K.219
Brahms' Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op.73
